The Army will be conducting routine training throughout May during the day and night and may be heard by the surrounding community.

An additional advisory was issued on Friday: On Monday, May 12, the U.S. Army Pacific will fire cannons at Historic Palm Circle at Fort Shafter starting 8 a.m. that will last for several minutes.

Note that overcast conditions and southerly Kona winds can increase noise and vibrations.

The military appreciates the understanding and continued support of the community. While sometimes loud, the training is critical to ensure military units and service members are ready to accomplish their mission and return home safely.

The community can report concerns related to noise or training to the U.S. Army Hawaii’s Noise Concern Line at 808-787-1528 or email usag.hawaii.comrel@army.mil. Responses will come during regular business hours, 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
