JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo.–Jonathon Lyles, 33 of Saint Louis, received 10 charges from Jefferson County for a Sunday crime spree.
According to Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak, deputies responded to an armed robbery within Arnold. Earlier, a Porsche Boxster was stolen from Saint Louis City. Allegedly, it was driven by Lyles and spotted after the armed robbery by an Arnold deputy.
Officers say the deputy tried to stop the Porsche but the driver refused and began a police chase. During their pursuit, they alledge Lyles attempted to ram multiple patrol vehicles and a deputy as they attempted to deploy stop sticks. Deputies called off the pursuit due to the danger caused by the suspect driving the wrong direction on Highway 67.
After the suspect fled Jefferson County going south on I-55, he was spotted by Ste. Genevieve County deputies. They allege Lyles tried ramming their enformcent vehicles and drove the wrong way on Northbound I-55.
The Porsche Boxster was abandoned in the Hawthorne Hills neighborhood near Festus. Police say Lyles entered a home in the 1200 block of Hawthorne Hills and demanded the female occupant’s money, her car keys, and a cell phone.
Police allege Lyles stole a Camry from that home and then collided with two Missouri State Highway Patrol cruisers and became stuck. He was arrested and charged later that day.
