COLUMBUS, Ohio — Have you ever wanted to run along an airport taxiway? If that answer is yes, John Glenn Airport is hosting a 5K Run & Walk to benefit Honor Flight Columbus on Saturday.

  • Honor Flight Columbus is a nonprofit organization that provides senior veterans with a day in Washington, D.C. visiting the memorials built in their honor

  • With the south runway closed for renovations to the airport, this year’s race will give the opportunity to run along the active runway

Honor Flight Columbus is a nonprofit organization that provides senior veterans with a day in Washington, D.C. visiting the memorials built in their honor.

With the south runway closed for renovations to the airport, this year’s race will give the opportunity to run along the active runway. The event will not impact commercial flights.

The race begins at 9 a.m. and the gates are open to the public at 7:30 a.m.

The previous five races have raised more than $345,000 for Honor Flight Columbus.
