MILWAUKEE — The Republican National Committee Tuesday unveiled the official logo for the 2024 Republican National Convention, which will take place in Milwaukee next summer.
The logo prominently features “Milwaukee” and an entire outline of the Badger State. The RNC said it’s meant to showcase that the convention and its estimated $200 million impact will have an effect on the entire state, not just Cream City.
Wisconsin is outlined in red on the logo. Republicans won a key Senate seat in 2022 in Ron Johnson’s election, and hope to win another next year. They said the red represents that hope.
“The Republican elephant, a classic, strong, and timeless symbol of our party, is prominently featured as well. The elephant is moving - on the charge, dynamic instead of static — and is going rightwards, in the direction of conservative victory,” the RNC said in a press release.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said overall, the logo is meant to represent the “traditions of the Republican Party along with the essence of Milwaukee and Wisconsin.”
“It is exciting to highlight what a phenomenal and vibrant place Milwaukee truly is. Our logo, which incorporates the symbols of the Republican party surrounded by the outline of my home state, will be a part of our nation’s history for decades to come,” said CEO of the Republican National Convention Elise Dickens in a statement.
Officials said the logo will now be featured on all official convention-related materials and communications. It joins 42 previous convention logos and symbols.
The 2024 Republican National Convention takes place July 15-18, 2024 in Milwaukee.
