BUFFALO, N.Y. — Bills running back Nyheim Hines has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after he returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in the team's 35-23 win over the New England Patriots Sunday. He also set a team record with 235 kickoff return yards.
In addition to becoming the first NFL player with two kickoff-return touchdowns in the same game since 2010, Hines became the first Bills player to win Special Teams Player of the Week since kicker Stephen Hauschka in 2018.
Hines is the only player in NFL history to have a game with two kickoff-return touchdowns and two punt-return touchdowns in his career.
At this year's trade deadline, Hines was traded from the Indianapolis Colts to the Bills in exchange for running back Zack Moss and a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
