Heoak Lee, founder and executive director of the nonprofit InWave Movement, has put on the event since 2017.

"Traditionally, I'm a Korean dancer. I've been on stage all my life and I've been involved with the International Festival of Raleigh since back in 1989. So that kind of, I guess, my experiences over the years have kind of given me a sense to be able to do this," Lee said.

Last year was virtual while this year is an in-person two day event.

"We're starting to get more grounded and starting to really take off on being able to do this on a bigger scale. And yeah, so far I've not gotten paid for what I've been doing, but I absolutely love it. This is what I live for," Lee said.

The festival highlights Korean dance, food, music and overall culture.

The event takes place Saturday and Sunday at 4825 Trinity Rd in Raleigh. For more information, click here.
