ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic has been named to the 2021 NBA All-Star Game on March 7 in Atlanta, the league announced Tuesday.

He and the other players named to the 70th NBA All-Star Game on Tuesday were selected by NBA head coaches. The game will be broadcast on TNT.
Tuesday’s announcement marks the second time that Vucevic has been named to represent Orlando in the game. He also was an All-Star in 2019. He is the sixth Magic player in the history of the franchise to be named to multiple All-Star Games while playing for the team, joining centers Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard, guards Penny Hardaway and Tracy McGrady, and forward Grant Hill.
Vucevic is averaging a team-high 24.1 points per game, a team-high 11.7 rebounds per game, 3.6 assists per game, and 1.10 steals per game while averaging 33.8 minutes per game. He has led (or tied) the Magic in scoring 20 times, including two games of more than 40 point, heading into the Magic’s 32nd game of the season. He also led the team in rebounding 23 times and in assists seven times.
Four players were named to the All-Star Game for the first time: New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson, Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown, New York Knicks forward Julius Randle, and Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine.
The other reserves announced Tuesday were the Brooklyn Nets’s James Harden, Philadelphia 76ers’s Ben Simmons and Boston’s Jayson Tatum from the Eastern Conference, along with the Phoenix Suns’s Chris Paul, the Los Angeles Lakers’ Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Clippers’ Paul George, Utah Jazz teammates Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, and the Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard from the Western Conference.
