LANCASTER, Calif. -The excessive heat didn't stop recruits from taking part in fitness exercises, which is part of the process in becoming a Cadet with the California Highway Patrol.
The fitness test took place at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds on Saturday where over 400 recruits took part in the agility exercises.
The recruiting event is held several times a year. If the recruits pass, they move onto becoming a cadet and go to the CHP Academy in Sacramento.
