Kids made sure to bring their biggest Easter baskets to the island's largest Easter egg hunt on Saturday.
Catholic Charities of Staten Island hosted its second annual "Easter On The Mount" celebration.
More than five hundred families made their way to Mount Loretto to meet the Easter Bunny, hunt for Easter eggs and eat a meal together.
Thousands of plastic eggs filled with candy and toys along with twenty golden eggs filled with special prizes were hidden all around the organization's campus.
Organizers say it is in the spirit of the season to bring the community together.
"When families come together they have a better nucleus on their own, so in the spirit of Easter, and the holiest of holy holidays for us Catholics, we are proud to be a part of that." said Vincent Ignizio the CEO of the Catholic Charities of Staten Island.
"Making families and people happy. When they all come together, having a good time with the egg patch." said Lina Ignizio a volunteer.
The Easter party was offered in two sessions and tickets to both sessions sold out.
