ROME, N.Y. -- Some changes could be coming to the Rome Rescue Mission.
Executive director Matt Miller said they're hoping to expand to meet the needs of the homeless in the community in the next year.
A new program at the Rescue Mission will be introduced in the next few months.
He said it will give clients the opportunity to make and sell products, and run the corporation.
"If we really really want to make a dent, or really really combat homelessness, we really need to look at vocational training, higher education, life skills," Miller said. "Things of that nature."
They'll be making patchwork quilts, weave rugs and about 20 other items.
