VESTAL, N.Y. --  A local business is coming through on a promise it made to Maine-Endwell's Little League team.

Computer Emergency Room promised the team a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey if it won the United States championship. Of course, Maine-Endwell went one step further and won the Little League World Series Championship.

Computer Emergency Room Co-Owner Jamie Hess says it's the least he could do for all the joy the team gave the community. Because they missed out on other vacations and time with family, Hess says this is the perfect way to end the summer.

"I just figured it's a great way to spend the day," he continued, "and they worked hard all summer and missed a lot of things that other kids got to [do] during the summer, so I figured this would be a way for them to have some fun."

With school starting in just one week, Hess expects them to take the trip within the next few months.

The team will also throw out the first pitch at Citi Field at Wednesday's New York Mets game. Governor Andrew Cuomo has also declared Thursday "Champions Day" at the Great New York State Fair. The team will serve as grand marshals of the parade at 6 p.m., and they'll be honored on stage at Chevy Court before the 8 p.m. concert. They'll also get a catered dinner and unlimited ride wristbands for the Midway.

And, an added perk: Admission will be free for all members of the Maine-Endwell community, with tickets available at Express Mart convenience stores in the area.

The team will also be honored during halftime of this Friday's Maine-Endwell football season opener, and Saturday at the B-Mets game.

Plus, we're told a visit to Yankee Stadium may also be in the works.
