SAN ANTONIO — It's the first of its kind in Texas involving Apple.
The Alamo Community College District has opened a new Apple store for the San Antonio community.
Chancellor Bruce Leslie says the store will make technology more innovative and accessible for students.
He says while the store is a part of Alamo Colleges, it will be open to the community and students from other schools.
"We're very proud that we've got this kind of partnership both internally within this college system and with our community and of course with the technology partners so great things are going to happen,” said Leslie.
Students will also run and manage the Apple center, working in retail, inventory and financial management.
