KERNERSVILLE -- The search is over for a missing teacher from East Forsyth Middle School.

Officials say they recovered 23 year-old Krishawn Noble's body around 6:00 p.m. Friday evening at Kernersville Lake Park.

They'd been looking for him there since Thursday afternoon after a rowboat he rented washed ashore with his wallet, a life jacket and a cooler still in it.

His car was also left in the parking lot.

Crews used sonar technology and cadaver dogs and deployed divers around 9:30, friday morning.

Deputies say people tell them noble was a good swimmer and even taught young children how to swim.

Investigators do not suspect foul play.

His body has been sent to the medical examiner’s office.

Noble, who graduated from Winston Salem State University in May, was set to start teaching at East Forsyth this fall.

In a statement, the university said noble was an exceptional student, involved in the "Real Men Teach" program, and was a promising young man with a bright future.

A vigil is set to be held at WSSU for the teacher Sunday evening.
