BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Eight YMCA branches in Erie County are collecting Americans flags ready for retirement.
You can now drop off tattered, old or worn flags at any of the Buffalo Niagara YMCA locations.
That includes the four YMCAs’ in Buffalo as well as those in Cheektowaga, Lancaster, West Seneca and Kenmore.
They'll be collecting flags through Saturday. The unserviceable flags will be disposed of in a traditional retirement ceremony on Flag Day, which is next week Tuesday.
