HALIFAX COUNTY -- The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is working to determine an inmate's cause of death.
Charles Moss, 38, was found unresponsive on Wednesday night at Caledonia Correctional Institution in Tillery. Correctional staff called EMS and started CPR, but Moss later died.
So far, officials believe he may have been using a form of synthetic marijuana known as K2.
Moss was serving a 28-year sentence for second degree murder.
He was convicted in Lincoln County back in 2002.
