A man using the new bike path over the Pulaski Bridge had a close call with a car while trying to get to Queens.
Steven Stone, of Brooklyn, was able to catch the incident using his cell phone camera.
Stone said he rented a Citi Bike to travel over the bridge so he could catch the 7 train into the city on Friday morning.
On his way over the bridge, however, he noticed a vehicle was coming towards him.
He said at first he thought it might be an emergency vehicle but quickly realized it was not.
It was a scary situation for Stone who says he uses the bike lanes frequently since they opened up last month.
The bike/foot path was created to give both pedestrians and cyclists a way to move from borough-to-borough more seamlessly.
It also keeps both pedestrians and bikers away from motor vehicle traffic.
NY1 reached out to the NYC’s Department of Transportation about the video for a response.
A spokesperson said that a barrel has been placed at the location and that a missing delineator, a thin plastic pole, at the location will be replaced next week. The agency also plans to address any signage needs at the location if needed.
