PENFIELD, N.Y. -- The Penfield Board of Education approved Dr. Thomas Putnam as superintendent of the school district at Tuesday night's meeting.
Putnam has been serving as acting superintendent since July. Before that, he served as principal at Penfield High School for four years.
Dr. Putnam replaces Dr. Stephen Grimm who left the Penfield School District last year to accept the superintendent's job in the Clinton Central School District in New York.
