NATIONWIDE -- An iPad software glitch grounded several American Airlines planes on Wednesday.
The airline says it was an error with a digital map used by pilots in the cockpit.
They say more than two dozen flights were affected.
It's unclear at this time which iPad app was faulty or whether the fault lies with American Airlins or Apple.
In 2013 American Airlines became the first airline to have its pilots rely entirely on iPads for plans and navigation.
