BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Western New York veterans can get a brighter smile Saturday as the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine hosts a new program for vets.
You might be surprised to learn veterans don’t receive dental care through the VA unless it’s a service-related issue. That’s why UB dental students are teaming up with local dentists and hygienists for the Dentistry Smiles on Veterans program, which will offer a variety of free dental procedures for vets.
Dental school dean Dr. Michael Glick joined Time Warner Cable News All Morning to talk about the event.
Dentistry Smiles on Veterans takes place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the UB Dental Clinic in Squire Hall on the South Campus. Veterans need to call ahead to schedule an appointment to (716) 829-2780.
