RALEIGH-- With the start of school just around the corner, organizers of the International Festival in Raleigh are throwing a block party to celebrate the summer. The Mini International Festival is Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017 from 3 p.m.- 10 p.m. at the Raleigh City Plaza.
The free event will feature lots of food, local drinks, and of course, entertainment. The second annual event will feature Irish band, The Tan and Sober Gentleman and reggae band, The Amateurs. And organizers say it's a great way to preview October's International Festival.
This year's 2017 International Festival takes place from Oct. 20- 22 at the Raleigh Convention Center.
