Two men are accused of stealing art from the Albany International Airport.
Edward Chapman and Cody Siniard are both charged with grand larceny. The Albany County Sheriff's Department says someone saw the men take a piece of art from the third floor gallery in the observation area. The piece is valued at $6,000, and it was recovered undamaged.
Police say the two men were in the Catskill area working on a construction project, and were at the airport to pick up another construction worker. They say the two also left two children, ages 11 and 13, in a Greene County motel room, and those children are now in the custody of child protective services.
Chapman and Siniard are step-father and step-son. The pair are being held in the Albany County Jail on $10,000 bail.
