MILWAUKEE β€” Jrue Holiday, you’re an All-Star.

The Milwaukee Bucks point guard was named to the 2023 NBA All-Star reserves, the NBA announced Thursday. This is the second time Holiday has been selected for an All-Star team.

Holiday was placed on the Eastern Conference roster, joining Bucks teammate and Eastern Conference All-Star team captain, Giannis Antetokounmpo. This is the seventh time Giannis has been named to an All-Star team; Giannis has officially passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most All-Star selections in Bucks franchise history.

Giannis has been a team captain for the All-Star game three times now: 2019, 2020 and 2023.

Fans, media and players vote for the starters for the All-Star Game. Giannis received the most fan votes among Eastern Conference players, earning him the captain spot. NBA coaches β€” 30 total β€” voted for the reserves, including two guards, three frontcourt players and two players at any position in their respective conferences, totaling 14 players.

The NBA All-Star Draft will take place just before the game this year, starting at 6:30 p.m. Team captains Giannis and LeBron James will select their teammates from the rosters. The All-Star Game is scheduled for Feb. 19 in Salt Lake City, Utah at 7 p.m.
