WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — Williamson County commissioners unanimously approved a taxpayer-funded incentive package for Apple on Tuesday.

The package solidified the tech giant's expansion in Central Texas.

The deal will rebate 65 percent of the company's property taxes for 15 years which results in reimbursements of approximately $16 million.

In order for the rebate to kick in, the company must invest $400 million into the site, and hire at least 4,000 employees by the 12th year of the agreement

Apple will also receive $25 million in incentive payments from the Texas enterprise fund.
