AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred downtown Tuesday afternoon.

The call came in shortly after 4 p.m. for reports of a robbery at the Compass Bank, located in the 300 block of West 6th St.

Police said a man in his 20s wearing a light blue hoodie and dark pants entered the bank with a note demanding money. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect did not display a weapon and there are no reported injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
