Friday, March 22

Bangor Boat Show
All kinds and types of watercraft will be on display at the annual Bangor Boat Show. Pontoon boats, fishing boats, bow riders.  In addition there will be plenty of boating accessories to check out.  See more here.

MPA State Drama Festival 
After months of hard work from students, directors, volunteers, and parents it's time for the MPA State Drama Festival.  Click here for tickets.

Wild Lytes
Join the Center for Wildlife as they present Wild Lytes in partnership with Nyte Walk. This experience allows you to explore an illuminated forest walk on Thursday through Sunday evenings all month long. There should be plenty of light still available to allow for a more sensory-friendly experience. This expereince runs each weekend this month. More information is available here.

Identify Useful Trees and Plants
Learn how to identify trees and plants and find out what they have to offer in the way of food and medicine. Explore forest and fields alike in learning how to recognize and use the plants and trees to help short or long term living needs. End your day around a camp fire sharing the plants and trees discussed while hiking through mixed hardwoods and needle leaf forests. Click here to learn more.

Maine Maple Weekend
Dozens of maple syrup producers will be open to the public this weekend, offering maple syrup samples and demonstrations on how Maine maple syrup is made. Many maple farms will also offer games, activities, treats, sugarbush tours and music.  There’s a lot to see, do and taste today and tomorrow.  Check it out by clicking here.

Easter Egg Hunt and Peter Rabbit at The Drive-In
Bring the family and enjoy an epic evening of Easter egg hunts, games, face-painting, and a movie. The Saco Drive-In is teaming up with Aquaboggan and OOB365 to put on an epic evening of Easter celebrating. Click on the image below for all the details.

Beginner Silver Ring Bands Workshop
Students get the chance to make their own silver rings from start to finish. This class will cover basic metalsmithing skills, such as cutting, shaping, and joining metal. Participants will customize their ring bands with surface design techniques such as filing, stamping, and hammering.  Details are right here.

The Midcoast Symphony Orchestra “A New Artistic Mélange"
In this third series of the season “A New Artistic Mélange” the Midcoast Symphony Orchestra welcomes guest conductor Jinwook Park to the podium.The performance begins with the contemporary “Hymn for Everyone” which Jessie Montgomery wrote in 2022 as a partial response to the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a reflection on hymns in general in which she imagines the orchestra as a collection of choirs, with the melody repeated in different guises throughout the work. Details and tickets are here.
