Take caution while traveling in Northern Aroostook County as snow is creating slick road conditions. 

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 7 p.m. tonight for Allagash, Clayton Lake, Madawaska, Fort Kent, Frenchville, Presque Isle, Caribou, Van Buren, Mars Hill and Ashland. 

Residents can expect to see an additional 1 to 3 inches of snow, which will bring total accumulations to 3 to 5 inches. Most snowfall is falling in higher elevations. 

Area of low pressure moving across the area from west to east causing mixed precipitation in Northern Maine. The system is expected to exit towards the Maritimes by Tuesday.
