Clinical psychologist Dr. Neil Schierholz tells Inside the Issues there are some groups who may be more susceptible to mental and physical health issues during the COVID-19 pandemic and that it’s not easy for certain people to stay socially distant and work from home.
“Not everyone can drive, some people are still needing to take public transportation, exposing themselves to others and to surfaces,” he said.
Among other groups to be concerned about are those in the arts and entertainment industry, food service industry and those with public facing jobs as they may be hit the hardest economically. He said both kids and older adults are facing their own challenges understanding and navigating through these times as well.
