We are talking about Earth Month this weekend on In Focus.

JoDee Kenney sat down with Amanda Powers, director of communications for the New York Farm Bureau. They talked about how farmers preserve the land for the next generation. These efforts range from nutrient management to planting vegetative borders along streams and cover crops. Powers talked about how important the farm to school pipeline is and how they want to see it expanded to include breakfast.

Powers also spoke about how farmers are dealing with the uncertainty of tariffs. Some are stockpiling supplies.
