Hollywood Speaks caught up with the creators and cast of Spectrum Originals' satirical comedy, "The Bite."

Four things to know:

  1. "The Bite" creators Robert and Michelle King shot the six-episode series Zoom style during the pandemic by installing multiple cameras in each actor's location so there would be no interaction with the crew.
  2. "The Bite" stars real-life husband-and-wife duos Audra McDonald and Will Swenson, and Steven Pasquale and Phillipa Soo.
  3. Leslie Uggams, who plays Audra's overbearing mother, is a Tony and Emmy award-winning actress and singer, perhaps best known for her portrayal of Kizzy in the landmark TV mini-series, Alex Haley's "Roots."
  4. Taylor Schilling says she had fun exploring her dominatrix character, Lily. She says she learned through her research that "female doms are master boundary creators, and that's very different" than who she is.
