Shelbyville, Tennessee is considered by many to be the Walking Horse Capital of the World.  Horse farms dot the countryside.  Each year in late summer, horse enthusiasts gather at the Historic Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration Grounds to crown a new World Grand Champion Tennessee Walker.   Since 1939, an estimated quarter of a million spectators come through the gates over a span of 11 days to witness what some say is the “World’s Great Horse Show.”
