An area of low pressure is producing some disorganized showers and storms. It will move west across Florida, bringing heavy rainfall to the Sunshine State over the next few days.

The system will make it into the Gulf sometime tonight. Conditions could become favorable for some gradual development in the northern Gulf later this week. It has a 40% chance of tropical development. 

Regardless of development, heavy rainfall is expected this week across the Gulf Coast. Florida will see the bulk of the heavy rainfall potential through midweek, with tropical moisture shifting toward the north-central Gulf Coast later this week from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle.

The next name on the list is Dexter.
