HONOLULU — The City and County of Honolulu is expanding free COVID-19 testing for Oahu residents at its mobile lab at Daniel K. Inouye Airport, Kapolei Hale and Honolulu Hale.

Starting May 22, the city’s mobile lab at the airport will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The facility is located at the Diamond Head Tour Group area just past Baggage Claim 31. The nearest parking area is at the airport’s Terminal 2 parking structure. The entrance is accessible from the second level of the Airport Access Road, directly across from the Administration Tower across Lobby 5.

Beginning the week of May 23, the city will expand testing hours to 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays at Kapolei Hale (near the snack shop) and Fridays at Honolulu Hale (near the Mission Memorial hearing rooms).

Those seeking testing must pre-register under the city prepaid section at oahucitypass.lumisight.com. Registrants will receive a QR code.

The testing program is being offered through an agreement with the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii Consortium.

The expanded testing is being offered in response to an increase in COVID-19 cases. On Wednesday, the state Department of Health reported a seven-day average of 722 new cases statewide.
