Thursday brings the first full day of the Erie County Fair, and there is plenty to do. From a slew of new animal-themed exhibits to new foods to try, there really is plenty to do that you've never experienced before -- no matter how long you've been coming to the fair.

Admission: $4 for admission and $4 for parking

Rides Deal: $30 for a full day of rides on the midway

5 Things To Do at the Erie County Fair:

  1. Visit the Heritage & History Center and learn why the fair touts itself as the Birthplace of the Hamburger.
  2. Step back a few decades with the Happy Together Tour featuring The Turtles, Chuck Negron, formerly of Three Dog Night, and others. Show starts at 7:30 p.m.
  3. Funnel cake. Those two words make any fair. Whether the traditional (or non-traditional: hello fried cheesecake funnel cake!), no fair trip is complete without one.
  4. Stop by the TWC News tent and meet Mike O'Brian, our Getaway Guy. And don't forget to ask him about his recent trek to national parks across the state!
  5. Catch the new Circus Incredible show near the Showplace (at 12 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.). A family trio will perform aerial stunts 25 feet in the air!
