ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Four of the five suspects who pleaded guilty in the kidnapping and assault of two University of Rochester students were sentenced Wednesday.

Leah Gigliotti, Elliott Rivera, Samantha Hughes and Dennis Perez all accepted plea deals.

In court today Rivera and Perez were sentenced to 17 and a half years for each count of kidnapping that will run consecutive, for a total of 35 years in prison each.

Meanwhile, each convicted on one count of kidnapping, Gigliotti will serve 13 years in prison and

Hughes was sentenced to 15 years.

All have an additional five years post-release supervision and an order of protection against the victims.

The four admitted to their roles in the abduction and torture of the two U of R students over a two day period inside a house on Harvest Street last December.

It was a case of mistaken identity and retaliation for the robbery of a drug dealer which didn't involve either victim.

They were each beaten repeatedly throughout the ordeal and one of them shot before they were rescued by a Rochester police SWAT team.

On Monday, the suspects who did not accept plea deals were convicted by a jury on various charges including kidnapping, gang assault, predatory sexual assault, robbery and weapons possession.

They're all expected to be sentenced next month.
