James Gerbic, the owner of Gold and Glory Gaming, described Dungeons and Dragons as a role-playing game that is fantasy themed. He has seen an increase in the amount of people interested in the game again since the release of the movie.

ā€œWe’ve had a lot of people come in that are picking out new dice, miniatures, books. You know, they said they were getting into it again after not playing for a bit or they’re starting new campaigns,ā€ he said.

Gerbic said people who have never played before are also coming into his store. For Gerbic, his Dungeons and Dragons journey began ten years ago.

ā€œIt started off just as a way for a couple close friends to get together and hangout on the weekend and have fun,ā€ he said.

He and his friends used to meet once or twice a week to play the game for hours, which he explained is normal.

ā€œThere’s always a mission or a quest to go on. There’s always something to do. It’s fairly broad and really you can do whatever you can think of,ā€ he said.

The Gold and Glory Gaming store has hosted many Dungeons and Dragons games with people coming from all around the Cleveland area to play. Gerbic expressed that it’s a great way for people to be creative.

ā€œIt’s a lot of fun and I love people coming in, having fun, getting excited about everything,ā€ he said.

His love for games such as Dungeons and Dragons sparked his idea to open his store.

ā€œI love seeing people enjoying their hobbies and their passions,ā€ he said.
