OHIO — Matthew 25: Ministries is sending aid to areas devasted by the tornadoes that swept through the Midwest at the end of last week that left at least 27 people dead.

The St. Louis-area in Missouri and cities in Laurel and Polaski County, Kentucky, saw fatalities, injuries and widespread damage to homes and businesses.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost loved ones or have been impacted by these storms and tornadoes. We will work hard to give hope to those in need by providing essential supplies and services," said Tim Mettey, Mattthew 25: Ministries CEO.

Matthew 25: Ministries deployed their Disaster Response Team to bring supplies and necessary services to the affected areas including free laundry services through the Tide Loads of Hope Mobile Laundry Units along with shower and restroom trailers.

The nonprofit is also sending the Duracell PowerForward truck which has device charging stations and batteries for community members in need of power sources. Other items that will be dispersed include personal care and hygiene products, cleaning items, first aid kits, tarps and batteries.
