CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It's now easier for area hospitals, governments, and essential businesses to find personal protective equipment to keep people healthy.

The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance and software developer Skookum have launched the Carolinas Alliance COVID-19 Match Site.

Manufacturers making healthcare supplies can find organizations needing a supply. Vendors can also look up the greatest demands that are still not being met.

Organizations will be able to use the site to find a business selling thermometers, masks, gloves, or any other supplies needed during the pandemic.

The Alliance said with a new round of businesses reopening this week in North Carolina, demand for health supplies will jump, making an easy way to get in touch with suppliers especially needed.

"Without [a site like this] you're really limited to who you know and what your network looks like to get these critical supplies," 704 Shop co-owner Chris Moxley says. His company has started making face masks during the pandemic.

It's free to register an organization on the Carolinas Alliance COVID-19 Match website.
