NORTH CAROLINA -- The Carolina Renaissance Festival is celebrating 25 years of cheer.

The annual festival returns this weekend in Huntersville with tons of fun for the entire family.

Attractions include:

• Jousting
• Falconry
• An artisan marketplace
• Games and rides
• Mermaids
• A pub crawl
• And lots of food including turkey legs, a chocolate shop, alcohol, gelato and more

The festival runs each Saturday and Sunday starting Sept. 29 through Nov. 18.
