RALEIGH -- They've been the first love for children around the world for decades. LEGO's are not only fun toys, but also a learning and tactile tool for people of all ages. And a convention that kicked off in Raleigh in 2014, has now spread to other cities across the country in celebration of the building blocks LEGOs.

Spectrum News anchor Caroline Blair sat down with the now 17-year-old founder of BrickUniverse, Greyson Beights, for a look at the show that is not only fun, but educational and for people of all ages.

The LEGO experience is broken up into two sessions each day, offering attendees the change to create their own project, and see unique exhibits from renown professional artists from around the world.  From huge skyscrapers and landmarks, to intricate city layouts, Beights says BrickUniverse has it all.

BrickUniverse Raleigh is taking over the Downtown Raleigh Convention center on April 14-15. If you would like to come and channel your inner creativity, tickets cost $15 in advance and $18 at the door, but you may want to hurry, the event sold out some sessions last year.  Children 2 and under get in for free.  For more information, visit BrickUniverse's website.
