Born and raised in Endicott, Vince Briga beams with pride when discussing his hometown. A graduate of Union-Endicott High School, SUNY Broome, and Binghamton University, Vince is proud to continue calling the area home, and still lives here today. While Vince fondly remembers visits to Rumble Ponies baseball games, it is the diverse population, vibrant culture, and rich history that drive his unwavering appreciation for the Southern Tier. From dazzling winters white with snow to radiant autumns colored by the changing leaves, Vince describes this area, the people, and the stories that comprise it as magical.

Vince’s love of journalism began during his time as a communications student at SUNY Broome. He continued to pursue his newfound passion at Binghamton University, earning his bachelor’s degree in 2015. After graduating, Vince joined the Spectrum News 1 team, delighted by the opportunity to showcase a piece of the place he calls home. However, Vince finds it his responsibility to not only tell stories about the community, but to provide meaningful coverage therein. Vince seeks out important updates on policy and people that will make a difference in the lives of his viewers, whose unconditional kindness inspire him to come to work everyday.

Vince is a huge sports fan, however, this New York native loves to cheer on Pittsburgh’s hometown teams, the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. You can also find him celebrating his alma matters, whether it’s a UE football game on a Friday night or a BU Bearcat basketball game during the week. Furthermore, Vince is a huge fan of sports-entertainment. He’s attended more than 20 WWE shows at the Broome County Arena and loves catching the action on Mondays and Fridays. When Vince isn’t cheering on his favorite athletes, you can find him enjoying New York’s beautiful year-round scenery on the area’s tremendous amount of trails and mountains.
