Gov. Kathy Hochul and her new lieutenant governor, Antonio Delgado, will appear in a joint TV ad highlighting their weeks-old partnership, which had served as a reset for her administration.

The ad featuring the Democratic Party's endorsed ticket comes as early voting is set to begin in the gubernatorial primary on Saturday. The primary itself is June 28.

The ad touts efforts to reduce gun violence and taxes in New York while also preserving access to abortion -- highlighting key issues ahead of the election season.

"There's more to do, but together we’re working to make New York safer and stronger for you," Hochul says in the ad.

The commercial serves as a way to introduce Delgado to voters, who was sworn in as lieutenant governor last month. A former congressman from the Hudson Valley, Delgado replaced ex-Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin following his resignation amid bribery and fraud charges. Benjamin has pleaded not guilty.

Candidates for governor and lieutenant governor run separately in party primaries. Delgado is set to face two Democratic opponents for the party's nomination this month: activist Ana Maria Archila, who is running with New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, and former Councilwoman Diana Reyna, the preferred running mate of Rep. Tom Suozzi.

The winners of the primaries for governor and lieutenant governor form an official ticket put to voters in the November general election.
