The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting Monday morning in the home of an off-duty civil deputy.

Deputies say they responded to the town of Clay residence of off-duty Onondaga County Sheriff’s Civil Deputy Isaac Eames for a shooting with injuries call around 7:30 a.m.

Deputies say Eames was pronounced dead at the scene, while two of his family members were transfered to a local hospital.

One of those family members, Troy Eames, 21, died from his injuries later Monday afternoon.

The other victim, 46-year-old Karen Eames, is in critical condition. She works as a secretary at Liverpool High School, as well as the athletic department. The Liverpool School District canceled all sporting practices and games Monday night.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office and the New York State Attorney General’s office, who were also on scene.
