BUFFALO, N.Y. — Democratic nominee for Buffalo mayor, India Walton, has won her state appeal.

The court ruled to overturn an earlier decision granting incumbent Byron Brown's "Buffalo Party" an independent ballot line even though he submitted his request after the deadline.

Walton says she is glad the law was upheld, but Brown could still get on the ballot if he wins the federal appeal Friday.

Brown’s campaign did not immediately return a request for comment.
