The Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park hosted a socially distant wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday morning in honor of Memorial Day.

Earlier this week, 7,300 flags were installed throughout the park's monuments garden.

Officials say this represents the number of U.S. veterans who died last year from PTSD and suicide.

"Today, with these flags, we remember our work isn't done we have a lot to do for mental health and improving the lives of our veterans," Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park Chairman Terry McGuire said.

You can support the naval park. Anyone who donates $20.20 or more will receive one of the installed flags. Plus, a part of the proceeds will benefit the Battle Within Foundation, which supports vets with PTSD.
