Scott Patterson has been waking up Western New Yorkers for more than 10 years. He currently co-anchors the weekday editions of Your Morning on Spectrum News 1.

A native of Schoharie, NY - Scott became an adopted Western New Yorker when he married his wife Carrie, who grew up in the Town of Tonawanda. They currently live in Lancaster with their son Ethan.

Scott always knew he wanted to be a journalist. He anchored his first radio newscast at age 17 and filed his first TV news report at age 20. Early in his career he covered the aftermath of September 11th while working in Albany. He also spent days anchoring coverage of "Snowvember" - the November 2014 lake effect snowstorm that pummeled parts of Western New York. Covering both stories taught Scott just how important journalism can be to the community.

When Scott isn't working you can find him spending time with his family. The Patterson's love to hike, taking part in the Western New York Hiking Challenge every year. They also enjoy travel and baseball, visiting Florida every spring for some warm weather and spring training games.
