With cyberattacks on the rise, the nonprofit organization, CyberHawaii, presents its 3rd Annual Cyber Security Conference held over two days from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 24 to 25. The first day will be held at the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Campus Center Ballroom and the second day will be at the University of Hawaii West Oahu Campus in Kapolei.
CyberHawaii aims to develop and enhance the cybersecurity capabilities of organizations across the state and invites IT professionals, business leaders, consumers and students to participate in the free and open conference. There is no admission fee, but registration is required.
“As technology evolves, cyberattacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated,” said CyberHawaii CEO Al Ogata in a release. “This conference will provide valuable insights on the latest threats and offer practical information to know how to be better equipped to protect their organizations from current and emerging cybersecurity challenges. Cybersecurity is a team sport and we must all be prepared to play our part.”
Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke will open the conference that features experts from federal and state agencies offering presentations or participating in a panel discussion:
