High pressure will rapidly strengthen into tomorrow, bringing extreme, record-breaking heat to Texas.

Afternoon temperatures across Texas will reach the upper 90s with low 100s to 110s to the south over the next two days.

This historical heat continues to build in Wednesday with DFW, Waco, San Antonio and Austin all likely to beat their record high temperatures for the date.

Remember to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade or A/C! Know the warning signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke and say out of the extreme heat whenever possible.

We stay day until Friday when low end rain chances sneak back in. These slight rain chances hold most of the weekend as well, and temperatures back off 5-10 degees.
