COLUMBUS, Ohio — Six people were shot, and multiple others were injured, in a shooting at South Ludlow Street and W Town St. in downtown Columbus around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Columbus police confirmed.

The scene was still active and ongoing, Sgt. James Fuqua of the Columbus Division of Police said at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Victims were taken to local hospitals. One is in critical condition.

While the shooting took place about a half-mile away from where the Pride parade is set to start at 10:30 a.m., police said the shooting is not related to the event. Both police and Pride’s organizers have said the parade will continue as normal.
