Some city buses are now equipped with cameras to catch traffic violators as part of the MTA's effort to speed up bus service.
Starting Monday, cameras on 51 buses along the M15 Select bus route along Manhattan's east side will snap photos or videos of license plates to catch people who are driving or who are parked.
For now, there's a 60-day grace period as drivers get used to the enforcement, but after, they'll be ticketed.
There will be a $50 fine for first-time offenses, $100 for a second offense, and up from there.
This is the first phase of a plan that aims to get two more bus routes, the M14 SBS and B44 SBS, equipped with similar technology by the end of November, for a total of 123 buses.
