With a new year comes a new set of laws.
Styrofoam will be banned from city stores and restaurants starting tomorrow, January 1.
That means foam food containers, cups and trays will not be used anymore.
City businesses have also been barred from using packing peanuts for shipping.
There will be a six month grace period for businesses to adjust to the law before any penalties are issued.
Meanwhile, tobacco products will be removed from pharmacies citywide, as part part of Mayor de Blasio's efforts to reduce smoking.
Earlier this year, e-cigarette sales were also banned from pharmacies.
